How Can You Heal from a Broken Heart?
Relationships have a profound impact on the beliefs we have about ourselves, whether we realize it or not. Your life has changed and the direction of it. It has become very hard for you to move on, so what can you do about it? You may not even understand why or how to go about doing it. However, you have a feeling that something that was once part of you has been lost, and you can never recover from it ever again.
You also find it very hard to opening yourself up to someone new. – opening up to their love, wants, needs, feelings, opinions, love and goals. It’s all part of life.
A breakup means the undoing of this merging, which is painful to go through in life. However strong and independent a person may be, the fracturing of a relationship can also mean the fracturing of the self-love and identity of who you are.
One of the most painful parts of a breakup is that everything you had is lost and gone. The familiar is gone, plans are changed and the future all of a sudden has become empty where great memories of the past are buried somewhere in the back of your head.
Part of the healing process is re-establishing who you are as a person and letting go of the past. Go to God in prayer for directions. Dig into the word and he will direct your path. Anything that is broken can be repaired again. Your healing is on it's way.
